The word “mpougada” describes the process of washing and drying clothes, where in the work it is embodied in a concept that transforms the process of catharsis and the need for redefinition. Through the marks left by the pegs, a reference is made to the sick body and total redemption from the “stains” of stereotypes is sought, but also the urgent need of the artist to define her own place in modern society.
