Kitchenmade or kitchenmaid, are two words that are pronounced the same. A woman turns household items into clothes, cosmetics and accessories, imitating the girl who secretly wears mom’s heels when she is away at work, or reproduces the makeup process. In a peculiar way, she reproduces the oppression that she did not perceive. By choosing objects, which have traditionally been characterized as “feminine”, she creates conditions of indirect subjugation with the aim of opening a collective dialogue regarding the exploration for an exit and essentially liberation. She seeks to confront fundamental standards such the mother, in order to succeed in conquering her own position and finally purification, seeking the demolition of stereotypes and the essential release from the remains of the past.
