The holy moment of dinner has come. The table is laid. Everyone is sitted and the women of the family serve the food. Noone is allowed to start eating before the older man, the head of the household, says prayer.
Often, religions impose a certain modicum of life, with specific rules and ethics. Whoever violates them is a sinner.
In this performance all the ritual before dinner is happening with an anorthodox way. But what happens when religion becomes fanatism?
During the two hours, the repetition of eating and praying becomes an “illness” . A deformation of the face, the speech, the movement. The words become just meaningless and distorted sounds. Finally it doesn’t matter which is the pray, which is the language, which is the religion.
This action seeks to make a comment about religious traditions, stereotypes and oppresion.
It is in no case intented to offend any religious person.
